HGTV series is looking for a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to join the team effective immediately.  Working closely with the Line Producer and Production Co-ordinator this role will be Toronto based, and integral to supporting the team who will be filming in the USA. Majority of filming is taking place in the USA therefore experience of setting up and supporting remote filming is essential.  An excellent understanding of budgets, foreign spend and of managing costs is required. This role would suit someone who has a keen interest in Construction, Design and home renovation as the role will manage the renovation budgets for each project.

Key duties will include:

• Managing an office team and production crew
• Liaising with suppliers & negotiating contracts
• Managing production finances
• Overseeing Construction budgets for approval of the Line Producer & Series Producer
• Sourcing and liaising with crew for shoots/edits – booking, confirmations, cost monitoring
• Overseeing call sheets & risk assessments
• Booking travel/accommodation (in conjunction with team)
• Hiring relevant gear and managing in-house kit supply and arranging carnets for overseas travel where necessary
• Managing shoots remotely
• Managing the post production process, with the Post Production Supervisor
• Ensuring that all aspects of production are cleared for use
• Liaising with insurers to insure all appropriate insurance is in place and managing risk and H&S for productions
• Assist with drafting statement of work for each project
• Ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and on budget and to a high standard
• Manage the smooth running of the production office
• Managing the weekly meetings
• Managing staff work loads to optimise efficiency
• Manage the smooth running of all finance systems, including budgets and cost monitors for both production and construction
• Responsible for maintaining production cost monitors, including logging all invoices (incoming and outgoing)
• Overseeing payments and ensuring invoices are actioned in a timely manner
• Oversee the processing of all expenses and managing petty cash
• Chasing outstanding payments
• Managing junior members of staff
• Manage their projects, workload, meeting deadlines
• Run weekly 1-to-1 meetings
• Completing and attending review meetings
