Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be a creative and entrepreneurial force capable of championing our products and amplifying our digital reach. This will require a broad understanding of digital marketing and communication strategy and the ability to use a variety of techniques including email marketing, social media activation, web analytics, and SEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, departments and customers.
  • Monitor quality and consistency across all digital marketing and communications products and platforms.
  • Review, edit and update corporate digital platforms, including website pages and social media channels.
  • Assist with all digital content through concept, creation and delivery across multiple platforms for multiple projects (e.g. graphic design, web video, writing, blogs, social media, pod casting, etc.).
  • Help build and curate Pioneering Technology’s digital content library.
  • Anticipate threats to quality, delivery and timelines and work effectively with the team as well as other departments or external partners.
  • Stay current with new technology, trends and methods and identify new and relevant communication opportunities to expand our digital audience and improve engagement.
  • Help identify and set editorial calendars for content review, updates and events.
  • Assist in tracking engagement metrics for measuring effective communication strategies; includes regular analysis and reporting of metrics such as Google Analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum University Degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Digital Marketing/Communications role.
  • Confident using a range of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.
  • Strong portfolio of writing and web design samples that reflects good understanding of various digital media platforms.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with video post-production, programs and techniques.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Effective project organization skills including experience with project management tools, applications and management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Creative Suite Applications (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premier Pro, etc.).
  • Experience with WordPress or other platforms an asset.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that will help support all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability and keen willingness to work in an entrepreneurial environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
