Your role

We are seeking a talented and motivated graphic storyteller to join our multi-talented centralized Graphics Team based in Winnipeg. You have a strong sense of design, typography and motion with an eye for critical thinking and the ability to communicate your vision to clients.

 

You will be tasked with helping Local Services across the country visualize their stories for broadcast, print, digital and social media through animations, infographics, short form content and marketing collateral. A passion for design, animation and storytelling are essential. You need to be comfortable working under high pressure and tight deadlines with established program formats and design standards.

 

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • University or college degree or diploma in relevant discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
  • Three years of directly related experience.
  • Expertise in motion graphics.
  • Fluency in software including, but not limited to, After Effects; Illustrator; Photoshop & Premiere.
  • Strong visual design skills with an emphasis on typography and layout.
  • Ability to visualize and present ideas in a timely manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creative out of the box thinker with ability to adhere to the CBC Design brand.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Aware of new design trends and technology.
  • Illustration ability considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills.
  • Constant desire to enhance design skills and bring ideas to the team.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including early starts, evening, statutory holidays and weekends.
