Social Media Specialist
Purpose of Job Create moments of truth in our social media channels to position IKEA as a unique, meaningful and trusted brand by providing home furnishing inspiration for the many, telling a deeper brand story and engaging with our customers. Be a strong contributor to the country marketing team and other functions that helps IKEA to listen, react and communicate within the social media environment. Developing and implementing the social media strategy from a marketing/organizational perspective with a focus on agility and data rich planning.
Assignment · Lead the creation and implementation of the social media strategy for the country with a strong focus on agility and data-rich planning. · Lead social media within the campaign planning process ensuring this channel is represented within the overall mix supporting brand and loyalty campaigns throughout the year. · Lead and continually develop the social media content plan to engage consumers around life at home, improve brand position and stimulate interest for home furnishings. · Explore new sources of content, including partnerships and user generated. Work in close collaboration with PR, Web and other colleagues. · Collaborate with other colleagues to work on optimization of paid, owned and earned communications. · Work with suppliers and agencies to optimize the most effective content and platforms for IKEA. · Lead reporting and sharing of social media analytics. · Lead the process for listening and responding to consumer conversations while supporting our Customer Service Centre with answering our customers on social platforms. · Be responsible for supporting in crisis management from a social media perspective, in coordination with the Communication and Risk teams. · Promote engagement, competence and innovation around social media within the organization and with external partners. · Be the gatekeeper and reference for colleagues across functions on social media - terminology, concepts, trends, insights and recommendations. · Lead and manage, when relevant, the relation with the agencies and suppliers.
You Have · IKEA Concept and IKEA Brand, including IKEA Brand values, copy and visual Qualitative and quantitative research, market/ consumer data and trends, relevant KPIs · Marketing and branding experience and have worked with agencies and briefing processes · Up-to-date knowledge of the complete social media landscape, usage and measurements including relevant future trends · Analytical, tactical and creative thinking skills (ability to think differently and "out of the box") · Social media management experience and have worked with social media platforms and metrics · Multitasking project management skills · Presentation and communication skills along with networking and relationship skills · Strong copyright skills with attention to detail
Your Workplace · Based in the Canadian Service Office in Burlington, Ontario · Domestic and International Travel (approximately 20%)
