We’re Digistream (http://www.digistream.ca/) , a full-service sign and print shop, specializing in custom business materials and signage. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and talented graphic designer to join our team. We hope you’ll build your career with us.
Your primary goals here will be to deliver our full range of design products and services, and to coordinate customers’ orders from first contact to final approval.
A client will call or email with a request. You’ll find out what they need, and help them in a way that makes their lives as easy as possible. Whether you’re taking an order, answering a question about a product, or creating a custom design, you’ll delight our customers with your service and skill.
You’ll design for a wide range of materials, from business cards, to promotional materials, to large signs for outside our customers’ buildings. We often have unique projects coming in that take some extra creativity and coordination to finish.
The pace is extremely high here. There are always files to print and several production tasks to do. Our clients love us because we do quality work quickly, and we never say “no.” That means that things can get pretty hectic around here. If you like variety and like to move quickly, you’ll love it here!
We expect you’ll be new to signage and printing, so we’ll train you in our processes and equipment. What we’re looking for is someone who is:
- Driven – you take your work seriously, and own every task your given. You hold yourself to a high standard.
- Adaptable – one phone call can turn our whole day around. You can roll with shifting priorities without getting bent out of shape.
- Able to multitask – at any one moment you’ll have an order printing, a phone ringing, and proofs to submit. You can keep it all straight in your head, and get everything done well.
- Meticulous – you’re careful with the details because know that a small error can be the difference between a success and a nightmare.
Working @ Digistream
This is a full-time, permanent job working at our print workshop in Richmond Hill. You’ll work weekdays, 8:30am to 5pm, with occasional, optional overtime to get projects finished. If you need some flexibility to accommodate your home life, we’re happy to discuss that. We’re offering a wage between $16 and $19 per hour, commensurate with experience.
We’ve grown steadily over the last 9 years as a small team with trust in one another. You won’t ever be micromanaged. You’ll know what you need to do, and you’ll be given the space you need to get the job done.

- Experience working in a customer service or customer facing role
- Strong experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create designs and manipulate templates
- College diploma or courses in design or related field (an asset)
- Experience working professionally in graphic design (an asset)
