Marketing Specialist

Position Overview:
Reporting to Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will fill the full-time position of Marketing Specialist located at our Toronto, Ontario head office.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate and implement marketing strategies for Realstar’s portfolio of multi-residential buildings including, for example:
    • Prepare leasing strategies and organize signage for new properties
    • Create and update marketing collateral from property brochures and posters to direct mail and door hangers
    • Manage monthly property orders of new resident Welcome Packages
  • Assist in managing and implementing Realstar’s online marketing strategy
  • Plan and coordinate portfolio-wide marketing initiatives such as photography, signage and floor plans
  • Support Realstar’s web platform and customer portal
    • Upload and edit content and photos (property and neighbourhood descriptions, amenities, floor plans, custom code, etc.)
    • Assist with trouble shooting of the customer portal online payments, maintenance requests, invites, password resets, etc.
    • Run marketing and leasing related reports and validate on-line leasing and resident portal testing and implementation
    • Assist with rolling out the Realstar Resident Portal Mobile App
  • Drafting corporate and property communications
    • Blog content for the corporate blog page
    • Drafting ‘How To’ documentation
    • Monitor social media accounts and draft social media content
    • Draft responses for online reviews assisting with the company’s online reputation management
  • Participate in industry events and activities such as preparing for award submissions.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • University degree, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, communications/Journalism, or similar
  • A minimum 2-3 years of experience
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) is required
  • An understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, YouTube
  • Previous experience using a CMS (for example, WordPress) and indesign
  • Working knowledge of French would be helpful in this role
